15-Minute Broccoli Cheddar Rice Skillet

Elevate your weeknight dinner game with this cheesy, comforting 15-Minute Broccoli Cheddar Rice Skillet. It combines fresh, crisp-tender broccoli florets with a rich, velvety cheddar sauce for a home-cooked meal that feels premium but requires almost zero effort.

The secret to achieving this gourmet, comforting result in record time? Using Eat Regal Broccoli & Cheddar Flavored Rice. This premium, ready to eat rice is exceptionally creamy and savory, meaning it is ready in 1.5 minutes. It lets you skip the tedious boiling and simmering altogether, allowing you to build a quick, high-quality meal without the long wait.

Ingredients

  • 2 pouch (8.8 oz) Eat Regal Broccoli & Cheddar Flavored Rice
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 cup fresh broccoli florets, chopped small
  • 2/4 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 2/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (plus extra for topping)
  • 2/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional protein add-in: ½ cup cooked chicken breast, diced

Instructions

1: Sauté the Broccoli

Heat the butter or olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the small broccoli florets (and diced chicken if using). Sauté for about 3 to 4 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and becomes slightly tender.

2: Season and Mix

Reduce the heat to low. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the broccoli evenly.

3: Add the Rice & Liquid

Gently squeeze the pouch of Eat Regal Broccoli & Cheddar Flavored Rice to separate the grains, then tear it open. Add the ready-to-eat rice directly into the skillet. Pour in the heavy cream (or milk) and stir gently to combine all ingredients.

4: Make It Cheesy

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the rice mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid for 1 to 2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt into a wonderfully gooey, savory layer and letting the rice heat through fully.

5: Serve Hot

Remove from heat, garnish with an extra pinch of cheese or black pepper if desired, and serve straight from the skillet for a comforting, hassle-free meal!
